Painting is set against us. We are locked into a cage with a wild animal. We are helpless. It is far too big to escape. It speaks to us or it does not. We either like it or not. We are forced to watch and to react. It jumps at us. We have to allow being eaten up. Only then we are inside, says C.C.Voss.
